On 16 October 2009 CEOC International participated in the EU-China Standards Information Platform organised at the EFTA premises in Brussels.
The EU-China Standards Information Platform project aims to increase availability of standards information in EU and China to facilitate balanced and reciprocal market access and bilateral dialogue on standards between the two regions. A project consortium consisting of Sustainable Development Association (UK), the Chinese National Institute of Standards and the ASEAN Chamber of Commerce and Industry have been granted funding to undertake a feasibility study and establishment of a bilateral and bilingual information website with information on standards and market access in China and the EU.
The overall objective of the initiative is to facilitate EU-China trade through the advancement of e-based information exchange on standards, conformity assessment and related technical
regulations. It is supported by the European Commission DG Enterprise, the European Standards Organisations (CEN, CENELEC, ETSI), Standardisation Administration of China (SAC) and EFTA.
